Working with the UK's leading retail financial services and mortgage provider Vici Consultants helped to bring a new innovative offer to the UK retail banking market in a record 9 months from concept. The resulting telephone and Internet bank, has been a huge success, capturing over 10% of the mortgage market in less than 2 years of operation.
Vici consultants played a key role in the integration and security testing of the bank. With over 15 individual technology projects, encompassing over 500 resources, the integration of the bank's systems was key to its success. As with all aspects of the bank's launch, the integration project was successfully mobilised and delivered in a very short timeframe.
Similarly ensuring the new concept of Internet banking was safe from external and internal security breaches would be key to its long-term future. Vici were engaged in the coordination of security testing and the bank was successfully launched to the web in November 2000.
Laterally, Vici consultants were engaged in a process project in the Account Opening function of the bank. The purpose of the engagement was to reduce cost and waste and speed up the account opening process, without touching the technology through enhancements. In a short space of time the team identified capacity represented by over £800,000 Stg., which a separate team went on to implement.
